I thought Flickr looked good. You could tag pictures so you could group them or find pictures easier. I didn't want a Yahoo account so I didn't sign up for Flickr. I think I will look for other options.

Finding Feeds

I found a good feed on topix. It gives you news about your area. Sindic8 didn't interest me. I don't want to search through personal blogs. The site was slow when I was searching as well.
I also had problems with Technorati. When I clicked on the feed symbol, it asked me to save it. I couldn't add the feed to my list.

Bloglines wasn't difficult to set up. I thought it was more difficult picking websites that I would like to go to. I could see how this would be helpful to people who like to keep up to date on special issues.
I feel like I am out of my element. I can go months without getting online. I don't think this is something I will use but I am willing to learn about it.

This is my first IM experience. It seems the same as texting and emailing. Send a message and wait for a response.


In reference to using IM for reference questions...I believe I would use it if there was a quick response time.
